For those people who know me, they know that I am totally into tech gadgets. In this blog post, I would like to provide you a short product review about the new retro-looking RP-HTX90N headphones by Panasonic.

First of all, I must say I am a true lover of noise-canceling headphones. I have been using these kinds of headphones for many many years now and they are a great way to escape the everyday noises. Whether sitting in the university library, trying to read a book, writing a paper or just chilling at home listening to the favorite spotify playlist. These kind of headphones helped me focus throughout the past, it never mattered how noisy the surrounding were. For those of you who commute regularly by SBB trains, or fly often by planes, know how valuble it is to enjoy some peace and quiet. To be honest – since I discovered noice cancelling, I haven’t ever traveled without these buddies ever after.

So let’s have a look at one of the latest additions to the noice-cancelling circle: the P-HTX90N headphones by Panasonic:

First of all, when I opened the packaging, I was surprised by how lightweight these retro headphones were. It was super easy to connect and pair them with my smartphone. In fact, it took me only a few seconds.

On the right side, there you’ll find the control buttons for the most important features: you can play/pause, skip forward and power on. In addition to that, you’ll find some additional buttons for bass enhancing and  -> yep, noise-cancelling. Since I bought some wireless headphones a 2 years ago, I have become a “wireless”-person. For those, who are still into cords, you’ll still have the possibility to connect these headphones with an AUX cable. But the truth is, that these headphones are not only made for music. They are also useful for taking calls or giving orders to Siri.

I have been testing these headphones for a few weeks and overall I would give them a “buy” tag. They look super stylish in their retro look, the sound of quality is good and in terms of value for money they do a great job. In terms of noise cancelling, they do a solid job, but they do not provide the same level of noise reduction as their premium “brother” model such as the RP-HD605N.
