Welcome to Rome! OMG – this busy, vibrant and cosmopolitan city is awesome! It’s brimming with art, culture, fantastic food and extraordinary history like we have never experienced before…we started with a walk to of the most popular sights in Rome to get a glimpse at the ancient Roman Colosseum. In total, we stayed for 3 days, which is obviously not enough at all to explore this amazing city. In this post, we will show some of the must-sees kinda-touristy things.
Trevi Fountain
Have you already thrown a coin into the Trevi fountain in Rome? Then you are not alone – every day around USD 3500$ is thrown into the fountain – and it‘s collected daily 💰
The Vatican
The Vatican city 🇻🇦, the world’s smallest sovereign state and home of the Roman Catholic Church as well as Pope Francis is the 266th – with a whopping 6 million visitors per year, you will most probably end up in a looong queue – as we did 😎 but don’t worry you will have a great time taking pictures of your beautiful surroundings ⛪.
The Pantheon
The Pantheon, a magnificent ancient temple offers a unique opportunity to step back 2,000 years and experience the glorious times of Rome. Especially the dome is remarkable for its size, its construction, and its design! You have to line up no longer than 10 minutes, and it’s free 🙂
The Roman Forum
Imagine to travel back in time and discover ancient Rome with Roman Forum, nestled in a valley between Palatine and Capitoline Hills. We were engrossed in its rich history and fascinated by the beauty of the still-existing buildings. As you can see from the picture, there are sooooo soo many things to see in the Roman Forum that it’s almost overwhelming. To get the most out of your visit, we think you should get a good guide, otherwise you’ll just walk by without having any idea 🙂
