Ever since the Romans settled here in the 1st century AD, locals have enjoyed the steaming, mineral-rich thermal water that simmers beneath Budapest's surface 🛀In fact, Budapest sits on a patchwork of more than 100 thermal springs. But the truth is, the vast majority of Hungarians don’t regularly go to thermal baths. Apparently, around 75 percent of guests in Budapest are tourists. Since we are also tourists (🙃), we had to visit the most touristic bath of em all - the Széchenyi. Soaking in the steaming outdoor pool here during the winter months is an especially memorable experience, as you can see from the picture.
